Coolum Country Cat Retreat was established more than two decades ago with a simple belief: cats deserve a boarding experience that feels calm, safe, and genuinely caring — not clinical.

Today, the retreat is owned and operated by Mandy and Dean, two passionate cat lovers who took on the business five years ago and have continued building on its well-loved reputation. For them, this isn't just a business — it's a calling.

Every cat that comes through our gate is treated as an individual. We take time to understand their personality, their quirks, their favourite sleeping spots, and their preferred way of being approached. Daily records of food intake and behaviour mean we always know how each guest is doing, and any concerns are addressed promptly. labour of love — for over 20 years.

Our property is a peaceful, tropical two-acre setting in Valdora — the kind of place where cats can hear birdsong from their outdoor run, bask in the afternoon sun, and genuinely relax.
